We rounded a corner, and there he was, a magnificent bull elephant, He was in the midst of a dust bath as we approached, and he remained unseen until we were quite close. Bathed in this incredible golden light, kicking up a cloud of dust that shimmered like magic. It was clear we'd surprised him, and he gave us a dramatic mock charge, a real show of raw power. The way the light hit the dust, it was like a golden halo, a moment of pure drama in the heart of the wilderness.
